Committee on Blast, Shock and Impact

Main
Committee
Mission:
To study and evaluate the magnitude and effects of blast, shock and impulsive loadings
(other than wind or seismic) on structures and their components, and to
formulate design criteria and methods to provide adequate resistance or relief
from their effects. (Committee roster)

Sub-Committee
on "Standards for Blast Design"
Mission:
To review existing (foreign) code provisions and give recommendations to
ASCE regarding the development of a blast resistant design code or standard. (Sub-committee
roster)

Publications
"Structural
Design for Physical Security - State of the Practice Report"
In 1999, this document was
published by ASCE based on the efforts of the previously active
sub-committee
on "Design for Physical Security". The document may now be
