Have you been to the ASCE office lately? If you have then you probably know all about our brand new ASCE T-shirts. American Society of Civil Engineers at UF

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a national network of civil engineers that was founded in 1852. It is the oldest national professional engineering society in the United States . The University of Florida Student Chapter is one of the largest student chapters in the country with nearly 250 active members! The chapter allows civil engineering students to become involved in community service projects, socials, intramural sports, study groups, and engineering competitions. It is also a great way to meet future employers for an internship or a job after graduation!

Upcoming Meeting

The second general ASCE meeting of the spring semester will occur on Wednesday, January 27 2010 at 6:15 pm in Weil 270. Guest speakers from the Center for Multimodal Solutions for Congestion Mitigation (CMC) will be present along with plenty of of free pizza and new information on conference. We will be playing a game of capture the flag after the meeting so please dress appropriately! Comfy running shoes and athletic clothing are strongly suggested, night vision goggles and UAV air support are probably not economically feasible but they would be totally awesome so I am going to just go ahead and say that they are really very strongly suggested.

Past Meeting

Date: 1-13-10

The first meeting of the semester was a great success! Everyone got to meet the new officers and enjoy free food and drink at Gator City after the meeting. Socials - just one more great reason to join ASCE!
